'Silvio's Yellow Flat' Bean
Passed through generations and pockets, this heritage climbing bean is a living link to post-war Italian migration. First grown by Silvio Panozzo’s father and neighbours in Wonthaggi after arriving from the Veneto region in the 1930s and '40s, these prolific beans are full of flavour and family history. With tender, stringless pods and an incredibly generous yield, they’ve been grown, lost and found again—kept alive by memory, chance, and love.
