Our garden at Heronswood is one of the most beautiful outdoor classrooms on the Mornington Peninsula. Our primary school garden education program delivers hands-on, engaging learning that brings the joy of seeds, plants and growing to life

We teach gardening concepts, guide participation and create a safe and inclusive environment where every child can learn. Our lessons are aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, supporting teachers to incorporate a Heronswood excursion within a larger unit of work.

We offer a range of classes for Foundation to Grade Six students, including: The Diggers Garden School lessons are delivered by qualified teachers and gardening experts who particularly enjoy practical teaching, outdoor learning and creating meaningful learning experiences that extend beyond a traditional classroom.
