Cafe Staff – Heronswood Café
Location: Heronswood, Dromana VIC
Employment Type: Casual or Part-Time (Weekdays and Weekends)
Join the vibrant team at Heronswood Café, nestled within the historic gardens of the Diggers Club. We're seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to deliver exceptional service in a garden café environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers with warmth and professionalism
- Operate POS systems and handle transactions accurately
- Prepare and serve beverages (barista experience preferred)
- Assist with basic food prep and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across café areas
- Support the team during busy weekend shifts and special events
- Share knowledge about the café’s seasonal menu and garden-sourced ingredients
Availability
- Weekday shifts: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible start/end times)
- Weekend shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (higher customer volume expected)
- Must be available for at least one weekend day
Requirements
- Previous experience in a café or hospitality setting preferred
- Barista skills and current RSA certification are highly desirable
- Passion for sustainable food and garden culture
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
