Pumpkin 'Jarrahdale'

If you've had the opportunity to pop in and see us here at the garden shop at St Erth, you might have noticed a pile of pumpkins, now these pumpkins have been grown here for our seed production, they're certified organic the whole site and garden of St Erth is certified organic, so we grow them here and then they go back to processing, get put into our little seed packets and then are available for you to grow in your home garden.

Now this is Jarrahdale. Jarrahdale is Julian our head Garden favourite variety because he has experienced it to be the most heavy cropping cubic Maxima large dry roasting pumpkin for a cooler climate.

This flavoursome pumpkin is a cross between two popular pumpkins:

1. the Blue Hubbard
2. Cinderella pumpkins

Named after the town in Western Australia where it was born, 'Jarrahdale' is somewhat similar to Queensland Blue in colour, but with mildly sweeter flesh.

Easy to cut and keep. Perfect for those in cooler areas of Australia.
