Wild Plum Syn Kaffir Plum

Native to South Africa, this evergreen drought tolerant shade tree is an excellent addition to gardens and streetscapes. The fruit is edible, but best preserved as jam with a little sugar. An excellent permaculture and edible landscaping tree.
How to grow

A hardy tree once established, plant in full sun in a well prepared soil for optimal growth. Trees will withstand compaction after establishment, making them suitable for high traffic areas. Fertilise in spring until established. Train to a central leader to achieve the most desirable shape.
