Tibouchina laxa 'Skylab'
A beautiful subtropical climbing shrub featuring deeply veined lush foliage and vibrant purple blooms from early autumn until winter. Native to Peru, this variety prefers a warm sheltered position; however, it will tolerate a cooler climate if protected from frosts. Tibouchina can be pruned to maintain form as a shrub or allowed to climb freely up to 2m. Plant in full sun to part shade in well-draining soil. To maintain vigorous growth and prolific flowers, fertilise once a year.
It likes full sun and a moist but well drained soil and is tolerant of light to moderate frosts once established. Irrigate through dry spells
