How to grow
For best results, sow seeds according to the seasonal growing conditions in your region. Choose a sunny position with well-drained soil enriched with compost and organic matter. Beans, zucchini, cucumber and basil thrive in warm conditions and should be sown after the risk of frost has passed, while silverbeet can be grown for much of the year in most climates. Marigolds prefer a sunny position and flower throughout the warmer months. Keep soil consistently moist during germination and water regularly as plants establish. Mulch to retain moisture, feed with an organic fertiliser and harvest vegetables and herbs regularly to encourage continued production. Follow the individual seed packets for specific sowing depths, spacing and growing instructions.
