Strawberry 'Tioga'
A vigorous spring and summer fruiting strawberry, ‘Tioga’ produces an abundant crop of bright red summer berries for several months. Bred in the USA, 'tioga' translates to ‘where it forks’, and while this may be the name of a long forgotten town, the only fork you’ll need with these beauties can be found in your cutlery drawer!
How to grow
Fertilise strawberry plants in spring by mulching with compost or well-rotted manure. Plant in a mound to improve drainage and water regularly, especially during the growing and fruiting months and during hot, dry weather.
