Strawberry 'Reine des Vallees'
An outstanding fragrant red alpine strawberry that is popular in Europe because of its sweet berries. Alpine strawberries are best eaten when soft, so they will never be found in the supermarkets - grow your own and discover them for yourself.
Fertilise strawberry plants in spring by mulching with compost or well-rotted manure. Plant in a mound to improve drainage and water regularly, especially during the growing and fruiting months and during hot, dry weather.
