Rudbeckia 'Sahara'
More vibrant than a sunset over the Sahara, this vibrant perennial rudbeckia displays shades of amber, copper, lemon, and burnt rose on double and semi-double flowers. A compact variety that thrives in well-drained soil and full sun, and is perfect for borders and containers. Suitable for cut flower production.
How to grow
Sow rudbeckia seed in punnets indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Use a good quality seed raising mix. Scatter seeds thinly and lightly cover with a fine layer of mix. Keep mix moist but not waterlogged. Place in a sunny spot. Seedlings will emerge in 7-14 days. Transplant into pots when seedlings have set some true leaves. Harden off and transplant outdoors into a well-prepared free draining soil after the last frost.
