How to grow
Sow direct in spring to early summer, once the soil has warmed to at least 18°C. Plant in a sunny, open position with rich, well-drained soil and plenty of space for vines to sprawl. Water deeply and consistently, and harvest when the skin hardens and the stalk dries off.
