This Japanese selection is an incredibly large snow pea, producing pods up to 14cm long and 3-4cm wide. Grow on a trellis as plants reach up to 2m. The beautiful purple flowers appear first, quickly followed by a mass of large succulent pods. Not for TAS.

This Japanese selection is the longest and tallest snow pea. Pods develop up to 14cm long from beautiful purple flowers. Ornamental and tasty. Edible pods.
How to grow

Peas are tolerant of various soil types, although slightly alkaline, deep loams that have just grown a crop of tomatoes or potatoes are perfect. Their large seeds are easy to handle and germinate quickly, making them ideal for children to grow. Peas prefer the cooler months, as temperatures over 25 degrees reduce flowering.
