Silver Vein Creeper
Parthenocissus henryana, also known as the Silver Vein Creeper and Chinese Virginia Creeper, is a captivating climbing plant whose leaves turn a blazing red in Autumn. The large palmate green leaves, highlighted with silver-white veins create a stunning contrast against walls, trellises, or other structures. With its self-clinging nature, this plant can quickly climb and cover surfaces with ease, making it an ideal choice for creating a living green wall or privacy screen. Recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM) from the Royal Horticultural Society.
How to grow
To help it thrive, plant it in soil that is fertile and well-drained in partial shade. Although the plant is self-clinging, it may require a bit of assistance in its early stages. Simply tie it to a trellis or netting until it becomes established.
