Orange 'Navelina' - Trifoliata
A reliable cropper that will extend your harvest season. Fruit ripens earlier in winter than its ‘Washington’ parent. A small-to-medium-sized tree with slightly smaller fruit than ‘Washington’ but the same great taste. A 1910 heirloom variety from California with ideal heat and coastal tolerance.
Trifoliata Rootstocks are semi-dwarfing rootstock which is extremely tolerant of cold (even snow) and is suited to wet sandy soils. Does not like lime or salty soils. Deciduous, the tree will enter dormancy in colder areas, resulting in a smaller tree.
