New Zealand Lily 'Matapouri Bay'
Also known as the Renga Renga or NZ Rock Lily, this robust variety was selected for its superior waxy blue-green foliage produced in dense clumps. During spring, branching sprays carry numerous white starry flowers that light up any dry shady site. An adaptable evergreen strap leaf plant that suits almost any position and any garden style, from coast to country, including areas of light frost. Plant en masse for a spectacular spring floral display.
How to grow
Full sun or part shade, thrives in a range of soils and conditions from coastal to inland. Tolerates light frost. Copes well planted under trees and is a useful plant for a massed display in areas with both sun and shaded aspects. Remove spent flower stems from the base and any tattered or torn foliage. Treat with snail and slug pellets regularly. Divide if the clump becomes too large.
