Rubus ursinus x Rubus hybrids 'Marionberry'

Introduced in 1956 and touted as 'The Queen of Blackberries', packed full of antioxidants the Marionberry produces medium sized fruit that ranges from a deep red to glistening black when ripe. A wonderful balance of sweet and tart makes this the perfect addition to your pies, tarts and desserts, especially when picked straight from your garden.

How to grow

FLORICANE - These berries fruit on second year wood. Prune after fruiting, but only remove the canes that have already produced fruit. Plant in full sun in soil enriched with organic matter. Mulch after planting to minimise weed growth. Apply blood and bone in autumn and early spring. Train canes to a trellis.
