Rangpur Lime

Citrus x limonia 'Osbeck'

Easy to peel and extremely juicy, this lime is actually not a lime, but rather a cross between lemons and mandarins. A cold tolerant citrus with a refreshingly tangy flavour, use in marinades, sauces and desserts. The peel exudes fresh lime fragrance, as does the leaves, and the flesh is tart and juicy, making it an ideal substitute for lime or lemon.

Rangpur Lime

Native to north-western India, the Rangpur Lime is known by many other names around the world, including Mandarin Lime in the US and the Canton lemon in China. A fast growing citrus that is more cold tolerant than true limes, it's a wonderful alternative for the cooler southern states and an excellent substitute in recipes. Often used as a rootstock for other, more sensitive citrus, this hardy evergreen forms a handsome tree and is a tough addition to most gardens.
How to grow

Tip prune regularly to maintain compact and healthy growth. Fertilise monthly for optimal growth.
