Kalanchoe Beharensis

Kalanchoe Beharensis also known as elephant's ear kalanchoe or felt bush, is a strikingly architectural succulent native to Madagascar. As seen at our Heronswood gardens, Kalanchoe Beharensis can grow into a large specimen, reaching 3-4 m in height at maturity. The large olive-green, undulated leaves are covered in soft brown hairs that give them a beautiful velvety feel. Once the plant matures it produces sprays of greenish-yellow flowers during winter.
How to grow

Full sun, drought and coast tolerant. Allow to dry out between watering. This slow-growing plant needs no pruning however it responds well to trimming off leaves if required to maintain shape or size.
