Horseradish
An easy-to-grow root vegetable that’s perfect for adding a punch of flavour to your roast beef salads or for grating and blending with vinegar as a condiment. Plant in a container for ease of harvest and to contain plant spread. Propagate by root cuttings and division.
How to grow
Grow in a container, or in a spot in the garden where this tough little plant can naturalise as it is vigorous. Plants prefer sun or part shade in free draining soil enriched with organic matter with summer moisture but not wet. Drought tolerant once established. Allow plant to establish for one or more seasons before harvesting. Remove flowers to prevent seeding.
