Geranium 'Seaspray'
A tough and low maintenance ground cover, Geranium 'Seaspray' is a superb choice for bringing colour into the garden through its unique foliage and continual display of contrasting pink flowers. The unusual, delicately scalloped leaves with hues of bronze, brown, grey and green are highly ornamental and provide a useful foil to other silver or green foliage. The pretty soft pink flowers appear in early spring and continue to autumn, extending its value through the seasons. Perfect for underplanting, as a front of border feature, in rockeries and in seaside or gravel gardens. Makes a great weed suppressant with its mat forming habit. Raised by Alan Bremner in the UK. Vigorous plants which can spread to 1.2 metres.
How to grow
Full sun or light shade in well-drained soil, adaptable to poor conditions. Drought and heat tolerant, cut back by two thirds in autumn. Ideal as a groundcover in all planting schemes and rockeries.
