Euphorbia 'Tasmanian Tiger'

This remarkable hybrid was discovered in 1993 in the Hobart garden of plants woman Sally Johannsohn. Named for it's variegated foliage and origins, this otherwise Mediterranean plant is perfect for the dry garden. With outstanding drought tolerance and vibrant foliage colour, Euphorbia 'Tasmanian Tiger' offers form and colour in the garden year round without the need for pruning or supplementary water. Also known as Euphorbia 'Tassie Tiger'.
How to grow

Plant in full sun, preferably in free-draining soil of moderate to low fertility but adaptable to a wide range of conditions. Extremely drought and heat tolerant, euphorbias cope with coastal conditions and moderate frost. Occasional water over extended dry periods will improve plant performance. Prune off spent flower stalks and damaged foliage to ground level to allow for new growth once flowering ends. Always wear gloves and eye protection when pruning and avoid the sap when cutting or handling to prevent irritation to the skin and eyes.
