Eco-Fungicide
eco-fungicide is a registered organic fungicide for the control of powdery mildew, black spot and rust in many plants including tomatoes, zucchini, roses, grapevines and geraniums. It attacks existing fungal infections and kills external fungal growth within minutes. eco-fungicide also leaves an invisible protective coating that prevents new spores from germinating.
eco-fungicide is a contact spray so good coverage is essential to obtain the best results. With the concentrate product we recommend adding a little eco-oil (2ml per litre) to the mix to help the solution stick and spread evenly over the foliage. You can also create a two-in-one organic insecticide and fungicide by adding eco-oil at it’s regular strength (5-10ml per litre) to the eco-fungicide solution.
Safe for beneficial insects in the garden including bees.
Features:
- Rapidly kills external fungal growth and spores
- Effective on a broad range of plants
- Economical rate (3-4gm per litre)
- Safe to use on fruits and vegetables
- No withholding period
- Safe for beneficial insects and soil microbes
- Registered Organic (Australian Organic)
How to prepare:
eco-fungicide is a contact fungicide containing activated potassium bicarbonate that requires direct contact with the fungus organism for control. eco-fungicide disrupts the fungus cell, causing the cell walls to collapse. However, under conditions highly favourable to the disease, control may not be achieved and suppression only can be expected. eco-fungicide rapidly kills both powdery mildew spores and hyphae.
MIXING: Half fill spray tank. While stirring, slowly add required amount of eco-fungicide and then the required
amount of emulsified vegetable oil e.g. eco-oil. Top up with required quantity of water. Mix well before commencing spray procedure. Do not allow mixtures to stand. Use within 24 hours of mixing.
APPLICATION: Contact with the disease organism is essential for control. Apply in sufficient water to ensure complete and thorough coverage of all plant surfaces including the undersides of leaves. Ensure plants are not suffering from any environmental stress such as moisture stress or heat stress when applying eco-fungicide to control high levels of powdery mildew or black spot infection as water loss from the infection site can cause death of plant tissue.
Rate: Dilution rates depend on the plants being treated and the fungal infection present. Usually 30-40g per 10L of water. See label for further directions. Typically makes up to 160L of spray.
