Dahlia 'Cafe Au Lait' (1 Tuber)

The most popular dahlia in Australia, 'Cafe au Lait' is responsible for the resurgence of the popularity of this stunning group of tuberous plants. A single tuber creates an enormous flush of colour with flowers that improve year after year. Fall in love with gardening again with this romantic, easy to grow dahlia.
How to grow

An excellent summer flowering plant for pots or the flower garden. Dead-head spent flowers to keep the new ones coming. Dies down to dormant underground tubers in the winter. Leave tubers in situ and only lift when required every 3-5 years to renew vigour and flower performance. Tubers should only be lifted after foliage has died back completely. Lift the crown and tubers together. Each division will requires its own crown, most easily recognised by any old stems remaining attached. Keep lifted tubers in a cool, dark position, protected with a little peat or shredded newspaper from drying out. Replant tubers after the last risk of frost, ideally when plants are just beginning to show new shoots.
