A decorative dahlia with neat coral-coloured globe-like flowers up to 10–15cm across held on strong stems from summer into autumn. When planted en masse the effect is of a sunrise, with flowers just as beautiful in the garden as they are in a vase. Popular with florists, Dahlia ‘Breannon’ produces a succession of long-lasting blooms.
Plant in a sunny position, sheltered from wind, in a free-draining, fertile soil. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong flowering. Dies down to dormant underground tubers in winter. Protect from frost or, in heavy clay soils, dormant tubers may need to be lifted and stored for replanting in late spring once the risk of frost has passed. Suitable for growing in pots.
