Chinese Licorice
                        A calorie-free sweetener used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat all manner of ailments. The root is boiled in water to extract the sugars and used as a liquorice substitute in sweets, medicines and drinks.
 
                      How to grow
Drought tolerant once established, harvest roots after 2-3 years to give them time to grow to a harvestable size. Spreading via the root system, plant in a contained garden bed or planter.
