Capsicum 'Horizon'
Add a burst of colour and flavour to your garden with Capsicum 'Horizon'. This standout orange bell pepper produces generous yields of crisp, thick-walled fruits that ripen from green to a vibrant, glowing orange. With a sweet, mild flavour and no heat, it's perfect for salads or roasting. Compact, shrub-like plants grow up to 60cm tall and are ideal for garden beds or raised plots. A favourite in our staff taste tests, 'Horizon' is an heirloom variety that’s as productive as it is delicious.
How to grow
The capsicum family have a greater demand for heat than tomatoes, so in cooler areas start your capsicums indoors so that they can be planted outside as advanced seedlings after the risk of frost has passed. Choose a warm, sunny spot and cultivate it deeply adding dolomite to supply the capsicums need for calcium and magnesium. Regular harvesting improves the productivity and vigour of the plant. Pick the fruit using secateurs to avoid damaging the plant and wear gloves when harvesting chillies!
