Buddleja alternifolia
Featured in The Garden of St Erth, this buddleja variety has lilac-purple flowers and alternate lanceolate leaves. Blooms have a sweet fragrance which attracts butterflies, bees and birds. Grows to 4-5 meters, making it a great structural plant while still adding colour and interest in the summer months.
Extremely hardy and fast growing. Prefers full sun but will tolerate partial shade. Plant in well-drained soil. Prune to maintain shape.
