'Brigitta' is a vigorous Australian-bred highbush variety that produces masses of sweet pale blue berries late in the season which are perfect for eating fresh, jams and preserving. Paired with the compact, low-chill 'Sunshine Blue' which delivers generous crops of mid-sized summer fruit in almost any climate. This collection offers an extended harvest and outstanding garden performance. An ideal combination for home gardeners.

Low chill variety. Blueberries prefer an acidic soil with a pH of 4.5-5.5. Improve soils prior to planting with decomposed manure and compost. This is especially important in clay soils as blueberries prefer a free-draining soil high in organic matter. Check your pH and if you need to lower it further, apply elemental sulphur. Plant in a sunny position protected from wind. Mulch with pine needles. Apply a complete fertiliser in spring. While tolerant of part shade, full sun is required for optimal fruiting.
