How to grow
High chill variety. Blueberries prefer an acidic soil with a pH of 4.5-5.5. Improve soils prior to planting with decomposed manure and compost. This is especially important in clay soils as blueberries prefer a free-draining soil high in organic matter. Check your pH and if you need to lower it further apply elemental sulphur. Plant in a sunny position protected from wind. Mulch with pine needles. Apply a complete fertiliser in spring. While tolerant of part shade, full sun is required for optimal fruiting. Cross pollinate with 'Northland', 'Sunshine Blue' or 'Blue Rose'.
