Anemone 'Honorine Jobert'
Discovered in France in 1858, this compact flowering form of anemone is a versatile addition to the front of ornamental borders and garden beds. Tolerant of coastal conditions, the delicate flower belies the tough and resilient nature of this autumn garden favourite. Known fondly as ‘windflowers’.
Plant in a semi-shaded position such as beneath deciduous trees. Suits all soil types apart from waterlogged and tolerant of coastal conditions. Used to best effect when left to multiply in large drifts. Cut back spent flower stems in late autumn and propagate by division in early spring.
