The Garden of St Erth is a secluded getaway not far from Daylesford and Ballarat. Each season has something to offer the visitor, including carpets of daffodils in spring, long flowering flower borders in summer and magnificent autumn garden colour.
Stroll around the Diggers Garden Shop and shop for a wide range of incredible edibles, hardy perennials and shrubs and stock up on seeds for the vegetable and flower garden. Relax over coffee in the café and stay on for lunch, afternoon tea, in the surrounds of the beautiful gardens and the Wombat State Forest.

Join the Diggers team for Victoria's Hide and Seek Festival and take part in free workshops, be inspired by free guided garden tours and enjoy our special spring menu at the St Erth café.

Entry into The Garden of St Erth is free for Diggers members and children under 16, and $15 for visitors. There is no entry charge to visit the garden shop, nursery and café.
For the safety of our visitors, the garden, nursery and shop will be closed on all days rated Bushfire Extreme by the CFA for Central fire district.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to enjoy our gardens with you. Please keep them on a leash and clean up after them so everyone can enjoy the beauty of our space

Julian Blackhirst, Head of Gardens at the Diggers Club shares the history of beautiful St Erth – an inland garden that has been designed to tolerate both hot summers and below zero winters.
Learn about the rewards of planting heirloom vegetables and the increase in productivity of espaliered fruit trees. Let Julian draw you through the garden with tales of the people who have been stewards of this magical place and how they have left their mark on the landscape.
Surrounded by Lerderderg State Park, this garden is a must visit for gardeners and nature lovers alike.
Non–members $25 includes tour and garden entry.
Members $10 includes tour and garden entry.

Group Garden Tours
We’d love to welcome your group to explore our gardens. Group tours are available for 15 or more people and must be pre-booked in advance.

For groups smaller than 15, a minimum booking fee of $75 applies.
