How to grow
Garlic is a long term crop which should be planted in a free-draining garden bed or pot. Simply break the heads into their individual cloves and plant pointy end up about 5cm deep. When the shoots appear, water regularly and apply a top dressing of organic fertiliser during flowering. Harvest as the tops wilt.
