Clive and Penny founded The Diggers Club in an old tin shed in 1978 snd published their first seed catalogue the same year. Since then Clive has authored eight books and countless articles for the Diggers Garden magazines (and toured the country on numerous speaking tours), and The Diggers Club has grown to become Australia's largest gardening club.
Clive is a leading opponent of genetically modified seeds and the commoditisation of our supermarket driven food supply, and pioneered the rescue of heirloom vegetable and fruit varieties in Australia.
In 2011, the Blazey's gifted ownership of The Diggers Club and the gardens of Heronswood and St Erth to The Diggers Foundation. Through the Club and the Foundation Clive continues his work in preserving our finest heirloom varieties and gardening traditions.
