Boysenberry
Rubus ursinus x idaeus 'Boysenberry'
WBOY
An undeniably delicious purple-black berry that is actually a cross between raspberry, blackberry, dewberry and loganberry – so it’s the best of all the berries! Bears sweet, juicy, fat, purple-black fruit in summer. Made famous by Knott’s Berry Farm in the U.S., the berries have excellent flavour, but the plant needs a firm hand to control the abundant growth.

FLORICANE - These self pollinating boysenberries fruit on second year wood. Prune to the ground after fruiting, but only remove the canes that have already produced fruit. Plant in full sun in soil enriched with organic matter. Mulch after planting to minimise weed growth. Apply blood and bone in autumn and early spring. Train canes to a trellis.
