Sustainable Spring Floristry - Dromana - 20 Sept 2026

Workshop - Sunday 20 September - Heronswood, Dromana

About this experience

Discover sustainable floristry techniques while creating a seasonal, garden-inspired arrangement without the use of floral foam. Participants will learn how to construct a naturalistic design using a reusable vessel and chicken-wire armature, a traditional and reusable mechanic favoured by many contemporary sustainable florists.

This hands-on workshop introduces practical techniques that can be easily replicated at home, while exploring the principles of environmentally conscious floral design. Working with seasonal flowers and foliage, participants will create their own arrangement to take home.

Learning outcomes

  • The life cycle of a floral arrangement, from sourcing and design through to composting and disposal.
  • Why many florists are moving away from floral foam and the sustainable alternatives available.
