Soil Ph Test Kit- Inocculo
Preparation and Sampling
Collect Samples: For best results, collect several small soil samples from a depth of 5 – 10 cm (or 10-15cm for shallow-rooted plants) from the area you wish to test.
Remove Debris: Remove, un-decomposed organic matter like roots, leaves, or bark.
Dry and Mix: If the soil is very wet, allow it to air dry on paper. Mix the samples thoroughly to ensure a representative sample, and crush any hard lumps.
Testing Instructions
Place Sample: Place a small amount of the prepared soil (about half a teaspoon) onto the white spot plate provided in the kit.
Add Indicator: Shake a few drops of the Liquid Indicator onto the soil sample.
Mix: Mix the indicator and soil together thoroughly to create a thick paste.
Add Powder: Sprinkle a thin, even layer of the white Barium Sulphate powder from the puffer bottle over the top of the moist soil paste.
Develop Color: Wait roughly 2–3 minutes for the white powder to change color.
Read Results: Compare the new color of the powder with the color chart provided in the kit to determine the pH.
