Pineapple Sage
Edible red flowers are a lovely addition while the large mounding habit is best suited to the rear of your border or garden bed. Attractive to bees, butterflies, beneficial insects and birds, prune in parts to allow flowers to provide a valuable food source for foragers throughout the year.
Plant in full sun or part shade in a well-drained soil. Water during establishment and during dry weather. While tolerant of dry conditions, this salvia prefers regular moisture for optimal growth, health and flowering. Prune after flowering in autumn. Replace every 3 years.
