Marigold 'Grande Yellow'
A bold, free-flowering African marigold producing large, rich golden-yellow blooms on strong, upright plants. Easy to grow and quick to flower, it delivers long-lasting colour in garden beds, borders, and containers through the warm season. As an open-pollinated variety, it allows seed saving for consistent, reliable results year after year. Ideal for brightening sunny spaces and attracting beneficial insects.
Sow seeds directly into garden beds in spring after the last frost, or start in punnets 4–6 weeks earlier for an early display. Lightly cover seed with soil and keep moist until germination, usually 5–10 days at 18–22°C. Transplant seedlings once strong and well developed, spacing 25–30 cm apart in a sunny position. Marigolds thrive in well-drained soil and benefit from regular deadheading to encourage continuous flowering. Avoid overwatering, as they prefer slightly dry conditions once established.
