This rare beauty from South Africa loves Australian conditions. The chameleon bell-shaped flowers will change from blue through to mauve and into yellow. The stem displays unique red spots to add to the interest of this unique flowering bulb. Naturalising readily if left insitu, the bell-shaped flowers are held in spikes to 45cm and create a stunning display for any garden bed, border or in pots.

Lachenalia Mutabilis

A drought-tolerant South African native bulb that will die back at the end of its growing season resuming growth again in spring. They are adaptable and easy to grow rewarding you with displays of colour year after year.
How to grow

Prefer a sunny location with a well-drained soil. Plant in autumn 2–3cm deep and 5–10cm apart for a beautiful display of colour in spring.
