Chinese Celery 'Kintsai Dark'

Chinese Celery ‘Kintsai Dark Green’ is a traditional Asian heirloom grown for its richly aromatic leaves and slender stems packed with intense celery flavour. Faster growing and more productive than conventional celery, it thrives through the cooler months and performs beautifully in pots or garden beds. Perfect for stir-fries, soups, dumplings and fresh garnishes, this cut-and-come-again variety delivers harvests over many months. Its bold flavour sweetens slightly when cooked, making it indispensable in Asian-inspired cooking.

How to grow

Plant seedlings in blocks rather than rows. A position with a little shade in hot, dry areasis beneficial, as celery demands constantly moist soil and it's shallow root system can easily dry out. Mulch well. Harvest stems from about 4 months after planting out.
