How do I check the status of an order?

Please know that we are experiencing delays in despatching orders. Allow 1-2 weeks for your order to be despatched and know that our teams are working hard to prepare and pack your orders as quickly, accurately and safely as possible. 

Despatch time may vary depending on your state’s quarantine laws. 

Once your order has been despatched, you will receive a confirmation email, followed by a tracking ID from Australia Post. 

Please note that tracking IDs are only provided by Australia Post for parcels, and not for smaller seed only orders.

The best way to contact us is via email at info@diggers.com.au as we have limited capacity for phone calls at this time.  However if you don't have an email address, you may leave a message for us and we will call you back as soon as possible. Please note that phone calls from Diggers customer service team member will come from a private number.

How do I obtain horticultural advice?

Horticultural advice is available free-of-charge to Diggers Club members. Please send an email to hortadvisor@diggers.com.au with your query and your contact details, and of our horticulturist will respond within 2 business days.

The Diggers story

1978

July 1978. We published our very first catalogue. 

1983

Clive and Penny purchased Heronswood in Dromana and began plans for a cottage garden revival. 

1986

Heronswood opens the gates as part of the first Open Garden Scheme

1988

The Diggers Club begins to promote drought tolerant plants to suit Australian gardening conditions. 

1991

We begin trials, research and promotion of heirloom vegetables; the first company to do so in Australia.

1996

The Diggers Club purchases The Garden of St Erth. We now have our second garden and an area to trial plants in cool climates. 

2007

Diggers' nursery, seed office and despatch moved to 20 acre site in Dromana.

2011

Clive and Penny gift ownership of The Diggers Club, Heronswood and St Erth to The Diggers Foundation.

2014

An ember  from a nearby bushfire destroys the thatch roof restaurant and offices at heronswood. Fourth garden shop opens at Cloudehill, Olinda.

2014

Heronswood Listed in the gardener's Garden of 250 World's best gardens.

2017

Opening of Heronswood Gallery showcasing the evolution of  flowering plants and heirloom seed display.

2018

Diggers celebrates 40 years and becomes the most popular and highest circulating garden magazines.
