Heronswood opens the gates as part of the first Open Garden Scheme

The Diggers Club begins to promote drought tolerant plants to suit Australian gardening conditions.

We begin trials, research and promotion of heirloom vegetables; the first company to do so in Australia.

The Diggers Club purchases The Garden of St Erth. We now have our second garden and an area to trial plants in cool climates.

Diggers' nursery, seed office and despatch moved to 20 acre site in Dromana.

Clive and Penny gift ownership of The Diggers Club, Heronswood and St Erth to The Diggers Foundation.

An ember  from a nearby bushfire destroys the thatch roof restaurant and offices at heronswood. Fourth garden shop opens at Cloudehill, Olinda.
