About this experience

In this webinar, Peter will discuss the role that growing media play in successfully growing plants in containers. He will explore suitable mixes for vegetables, flowers, trees and shrubs, as well as the management issues commonly associated with container growing. Time will be set aside at the end of the presentation for questions.

During the session, you will learn how to identify the quality of bagged retail potting mixes, understand potential health issues associated with potting mixes, soil and compost and how to minimise exposure risks, construct and evaluate a homemade growing mix, and effectively fertilise container-grown plants.
