Squash 'Spaghetti'

To cook, simply slice in half and roast flesh side down on a baking tray. Once cooked, simply use a fork to separate the strings of sweet, tasty flesh. Top with pasta sauce, feta or a sprinkling of herbs for a gourmet treat that is so easy to prepare.

How to grow

Related to pumpkin, seed germinates readily from 18°C–35°C in as little as 7-10 days. Sow in punnets and transplant after all likelihood of frost has passed. Plant in full sun in a fertile soil enriched with aged compost and decomposed manure. Can be trained up a trellis or support. Water regularly, but avoid overhead watering which can encourage mould and mildew.
