Snail Creeper
The uniquely snail or corkscrew shaped blooms of the snail creeper are unashamedly attention seeking in the garden. Present from mid-summer to early autumn, flowers are also strongly scented, making this vigorous climber a true show-stopper. A strong support or trellis is recommended for a tidy display as the snail creeper will cover a large area in a short space of time. Pollinated by ants, water regularly to sustain the rapid lush green foliage and abundant flower production.
How to grow
Plant in full sun, well drained and humus rich soil. Copes with light shade but flowering will be diminished. Deciduous in cool climates, support vigorous growth with a trellis or frame. Prune to control any wayward or unwanted growth. Water regularly and deeply. Protect from extreme cold.
