Scabiosa ‘Black Knight’
A highly sought-after cut flower that holds its own in the perennial flower garden. Flowers right through the summer months. The rare, almost black pincushion flowers of this scabiosa are striking. In the garden, combine with wildflowers or prairie plants towards the front of the border for a floriferous display.
Best grown in full sun, but will tolerate light shade. Drought proof once established, but benefits from supplementary watering in dry periods. Needs good drainage. Not suitable for humid or waterlogged conditions. Remove spent flowers regularly to promote repeat flowering from summer to autumn. Fertilise in spring. Divide every 3-4 years.
