Salvia 'Mystic Spires'

Salvia longispicata x farinacea 'Mystic Spires'

For years we grew 'Indigo Spires' but it was always hard to fit into a border as it was so large. 'Mystic Spires' is its shorter blue cousin with improved suitability to gardens and perennial borders. Thriving in the heat, this salvia is suitable for most Australian gardens.

Salvia 'Mystic Spires'

Artemisia 'Sea Foam' also known as Curlicue Sage, displays a frothy mound of incandescent silver-grey foliage, which adds texture and interest to the garden. The fine-textured curlicue leaves sit along firm woody stems and have a distinct sea foam-like appearance. This low-mounding shrubby perennial suits a low-water rockery garden and pairs well with ornamental grasses and flowers.

How to grow

Plant in full sun in free-draining soil. dry-tolerant once established but performs best with supplementary watering in dry periods. Remove spent flowers regularly to promote repeat flowering. Prune back by half after flowering has finished to maintain a compact growth habit.
