Ixia Mixed

Related to Iris and native to South Africa, Ixia's are are known for their brightly coloured, star-shaped blooms in shades of yellow, orange, pink and purple. Ixias are popular as cut-flowers and are widely used in gardens and landscapes as border plants or as specimens. They bloom in late spring to early summer and require well-drained soil and full sun to thrive. Ixias are low-maintenance, long-lasting and easy to care for, making them a great choice for gardeners looking to add some colour and interest to their garden.
How to grow

Hardy bulbs, plant around 5cm deep in full sun or part shade in a free-draining soil. Water at planting only and then allow to survive on natural, seasonal soil moisture. Allow foliage to die down before removing. Stake at planting to avoid accidental injury to the bulbs while dormant.
