The variety most commonly used in confectionary, this high yielding tree will supply you with all the hazelnuts you need to make your own chocolate covered snacks. Pollinates with 'Ennis' and 'Hall's Giant.
A popular nut tree for home gardeners because of their size and versatility. Flowering in winter, they add interest to the garden when many other trees are dormant. More than one tree is required for pollination and all Diggers Hazelnuts are selected to cross pollinate in your garden. Low chill varieties, they still need a minimum of around 1000 hours chill to successfully set nuts. Trees start to set a small crop in around 4-5 years, with maximum production in around 7-8 years.
