Echinops 'Platinum Blue'
Flowering prolifically over the summer months, flowers can be enjoyed in the garden or vase. Angular, two-tone foliage provides interest when not in flower and acts as a foil to green leaved mounding perennials.
How to grow
Echinops are hardy garden perennials which thrive in a free-draining soil. Improve soil to a depth of at least 30cm before planting, and if drainage is an issue, plant in raised beds. Divide every 3-4 years to maintain healthy vigorous growth and prolific flowering. Prune back after flowering in late autumn. Avoid waterlogged or wet soils.
