Canary Island Sage
Salvia canariensis, commonly known as Canary Island Sage, is a striking, fast-growing perennial native to the Canary Islands. This bold plant features large, deeply lobed, silvery-green foliage with a soft, velvety texture that adds a dramatic presence to any garden. In late spring through summer, it sends up tall, eye-catching spikes of mauve to purple flowers that are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
Plant in full sun in a moderately well drained soil and water very little to not at all in coastal gardens with occasional irrigation in hotter inland areas.
